Why are roadsters/convertibles fun to drive?
S2000=roadster=small=good handling=fun to driving
roadster/convertible=top down=close to nature=cool
I had a BMW 3-series convertible before.
I want a Roadster and S2000 is much unique than other Roadster in same class .
and then some regular reason (9000rpm Vtec, Best transmission, fastest soft top..................)

This is for my argument class...My claim is the Everyone should own a roadster. My grounds are that it is 1. small 2. sporty 3. a convertible. My warrants for these grounds are that a small car can fit into a small space... a sporty car is fast, handles good, low to ground and is appealing....a convertible looks cool, an in the summer is good, and the wind blowing in your face feels good. What else could I say or add to this? Thanks
There is nothing as good as driving through a National Park with the top down. You get all the smells and views of nature and usually a great road too.
I have owned 4 convertibles/targas in a row and 5 in all. My first being an MGB Roadster.
Plus the S2000 has a low emission engine!
Pet hate is driving top down in traffic where you get all the crap from the other vehicles choking you.

I had a transtop convertible CRX (Del Sol in U.S.) for 4 years before the S2000. I had to get another convertible to replace it - I just couldn't drive a tin top every day.
Here in the U.K. sunny days are few but when you get one the feeling of driving with the roof down and getting noticed is fantastic. Words do not do it justice.
I live on the edge of a forest and there is some great countryside nearby - a roadster is an absolute must for the summer. The S2000 is a great roadster ... and a whole lot more !

This is my first Roadster / convertible. I honestly bought the S2000 because it's a cool, kick-ass and take names kind of car. When I first glimpsed them (on the web as I browsed for a new car), I saw this model and fell in love with it immediately. Of all the previous cars I've owned, this one inspires me to pay attention better, take better care of it and speed more. (Watch out for those traffic cops, sheesh).
Just my 2 cents worth on the most beautiful car in the world.

I owned a roadster in college and grad school, and then later restored a Sprite and drove it occasionally. During my first mid-life crisis, I bought the Miata and then for my second crisis I had to have the S2000. My wife summed it best when during her first trip with me into 9000rpm-land when she said, "this makes me feel like a 21-year-old again!"
Too bad it had to be the car (not me) to earn that comment!

...because top-down driving involves you with your environment. All five senses contribute to the involvement: you feel the temperature and moisture of the moving air, smell the trees and flowers (and manure), hear the engine and road noise, and taste (er, give me a second...) the bugs in your teeth. And your field of vision is much more complete than in a closed car.
Of course, this is only fun if you want to be involved with your environment. And I see lots of roadster owners -- the ones with the top up on a 70-degree day -- who apparently don't. I'd like to know what THEY think is fun about a roadster.
