This is not scientific fact until they show hard evidence in a controlled environment. Just following some people around doesn't mean a thing. Why are there more white cars in accidents? Because there are more white cars on the road. It's just like the old statistic of why more white cars get pulled over. There is just more of them out there.

I'd say it because of its increased visibility. Black, Brown are harder to see, and could be overshadowed easily. Green, may be more visible but it may be because of the environmnet that it is similar as the trees and grass.

I think it is obvious - silvery cars appeal more to adult drivers, as opposed to fly colors which appeal to young adults, who lack the driving skills and life experiences needed to be safe drivers, on an actuarial basis. I forget the exact numbers, but people in the 16-21 age group are far more likely to die from car wrecks than any other cause, except in some urban areas where, sad to say, it is death from firearms.

But I find articles and studies like that superficial and absurd - like the 55 mph saves lives nonsense.
