Flagship sports cars don't have commercials, S2000, Corvette, 350Z, Z4, 911, EVO, RX7-8.

 

Ive seen a couple 350z and z4 commercials, but none for the S2000. i guess Honda's strategy is product placement (games, movies, etc.). In tekken 3 a character drives an s2000 in the opening scene. anyone remember Jennifer Love Hewitt driving one in heartbreakers?

 

I assume you are not counting the Ridgeline commercial which talked about "independent suspension and sports car handling" while showing an S2000, then panned back and showed the Ridgeline following. The voiceover then said something about "on or off road" and the camera followed the Ridgeline as it turned off the pavement.

 

oh yeah i completely forgot about that commercial. so that makes atleast 4 honda commercials in the USA showing the s2000.

 

Geez you guys that don't see 350z commercials obviously don't watch TV. I see more 350z commercials than Altima or Maxima even.

 

Coming from personal experience, before I bought my S, I hardly ever saw one on the road, and never on TV. Since then, of course with time there are more on the road, but I believe the target audience Honda shoots for is the enthusiast. Someone who can appreciate the design and structure of the car.
Heck, I test drove it and bought right there and then while dropping off my SUV for service.
Never once being influenced by any advertisement.
