Default Why you shouldn't bank at Wells Fargo

If anyone needs a reason NOT to bank at Wells Fargo, feast your eyes on this:

I had $27.94 in that account. Register.com banged through 4 automatic renewals for domain name registrations I ordered on my check card. Of course WF approved them even though I didn't have enough money in that account and even though I had called them before about this very same issue and told them specifically to DECLINE any transaction if there wasn't enough money in the account.

Wells Fargo, burn in hell

I sent them an email via their automatic email form expressing my feelings on this. I told them it was bleeping bleep bleep and they had bleeped me up the bleep for the last time. I closed saying bleep you and die.

I feel better but I'm still out $120

I feel your pain Erik - this week, I was out $180 in overdrafts because of an incompetent Credit Union who didn't put a wire through correctly. Thus, I was hit with 6 overdrafts this week - and ouch, that smarts. The wire took a mere 51.5 hours to go through. And this is odd, when I do wires to Canada, UK, France and Japan often enough - they go through within 30min to an hour. I don't get this, but I can't pin it on the customer - and the customer's credit union stated "we dont have that information" when inquiring WHEN they sent the wire through. I call them blatant liars. /end rant.

Don't get nasty. Talk to a real person, explain the problem, and they will likely remove the charges. This is standard operating procedure for banks.

Kind of makes paypal look good, doesn't it?

In all seriousness - mtony has a point. Sweetalk the $hit out of a customer service rep and I bet she'll make the overdraft charges go away.

Actually I did speak to someone the last time this happened and was told it was my tough luck. I wouldn't react badly if there was some possible misunderstanding. Unfortunately there isn't.

I will be speaking to them on this occation too however I doubt there will be any correction in my favor.
