Will an 06-09 steering wheel fit in a 04-05?

Hey Guys,

Thinking about picking up an 05, but like the steering wheel in the 06-09. Will the 06-09 wheels fit in a 04-05 with no modification to airbag or wheel?

Yes. You can swap all the pieces over to the 06-09 wheel

If I was going to the trouble to swap the steering wheel I'd have the late wheel modified to flat bottom. Even at 175 pounds it's a hassle entering the car with the wheel so low.

the steering wheel is the same. Only the air bag is different. And no you cannot run a 2006 air bag in a 2000-2005 car. The ap1 had a different steering wheel because it had the perforated leather.

there are 2 different one s2000 steering wheels and 3 different one air bags.

There is the ap1 steering wheel from 2000-2003 which has holes in the leather. There is the 04-09 steering wheel. All steering wheels and cruise control buttons are interchangeable. 04+ added an extra button on the cruise control.

For the the air bags there is the 2000-2003 ap1 air bag. Then there is the 2004-2005 air bag and then there is the 2006+air bag. The 2004-2005 air bag is interchangeable to the early 2000-2003 s2000. But the 06+ s2000 must run the 2006+ air bag.
