Default Will the 4.57 gears pass smog?

For those who has the 4.57 gears, will they pass California's strict emissions?

Its gears, it has NO effect on the emission system at all. You will be fine.

has no effect. your question is almost like saying will smaller wheels affect smog. the end result is the same.

What about an aftermarket front lip? My friend told me that it won't pass smog because it redirects airflow differently and not as much hits the radiator.

I don't see how this is that crazy of a question. The engine will be in a different operating range when emissions testing with gears. Theoretically, this could have an outcome on the result.

smog tests have nothing to do with rpm range or engine operating range. they are based upon load and emissions. gears will not change either of those. in fact, if anything, it will be even BETTER because the gears allow the car to do the same workload with LESS effort.
