Default Will APEX'i stand behind their PRODUCT!?

So I was under the car checking for anything unusual and I noticed a broken exhaust hanger supporting my left muffler. The exhaust system is a APEX'i WorldSport II that I had bought at the last garage sale little less than a year ago and have put on about 20000 miles on it.

I spoke with Keith at APEX'i and he said he would see what he would do. I told him I would email him pics.

Here is the email:

Keith..

I appreciate you looking into this matter for me. As I stated previously...I know that APEX'i isn't obligated to really do anything...but working in the service industry, a company's standing behind their products goes a long ways. I just want to make it clear that in no way am I looking for a reimbursement or a free exhaust system. But if you can just weld it back together and maybe just make sure the right side has no sign of cracking that would be the best solution. I've owned numerous APEX'i products such as the Worldsport Damper and exhaust for my Honda Accord, the REVSpeed meter and Worldsport exhausts on two seperate s2000s. I hope that your manager and R&D guy can make an exception and help out an everyday guy like myself get back on the road. Thanks Keith!

With the recent rain...the underside is a little dirty..I apologize about that.

Picture 1 shows the left side muffler obviously sitting lower than the right
Picture 2-5 shows the broken weld
Picture 6 shows that the muffler is in great condition..no dings, dents or road road rash that would indicate sudden trauma that would create stress on the weld.

so we will see if what APEX'i does.

It'd be cool if they did something to fix it and I don't know if it would help long term but any friend that can weld halfway decent could fix that in 2 minutes and you'd be good to go. Whether it would break again down the road is another question.

i'd just drive by the local muffler shop and have it welded, i'd think the company would offer to weld it for you for free if you mailed it to them. of course cost and downtime would make you just say funk it and go to the local welder...

that's a $5.00 job to have it welded at your local muffler repair shop. i'd just go there if i were you.

sure they'd (apex) might fix it for you but it's not worth the hassle to remove it, ship it wait for it.....

Much easier to just get it fixed on your own; however I am also curious as to what they end up doing about it

Yeah, seriously. It would cost more in postage to ship it than to get it fixed locally. Maybe they could mail you a couple stickers to make up for the $10 you'll be out.

I don’t mean this in a sarcastic way:

What are you expecting them to do?
