Default Will be counting the days to Thunderhill track day (Long)

Having just returned from there and hour ago after the two day Tracquest event! This was my first time out. What a blast. Spun out on turn 11 once yesterday, hung with the Boxsters and 911s and turned two laps @ 2.28 today.

There were a LOT of PB/S there (I was only S2K) and I think our car is VERY capable against them. They were all friendly to me and several stated they too felt these cars are pretty evenly matched. They do have a slight edge on the straights, but not a lot. I ended up playing tag with them all day -- me pass, them pass, etc. They may not brake quite as well though (matching stock to stock machines).

Sorry for rambling ... but that was a FUN two days. There's nothing more fun than hitting turn 8 at 90 mph! So, I'm just now counting the days until August 1st (Day of Thunder) and thinking of putting Porterfield pads on before then. Hope to see a lot of you there!!!

How did your brakes hold up? Were you using hi-temp fluid?

See you there 8/1, but maybe not in my S2k.

Sorry to hear about your accident Calc -- on your way to an Auto Cross. By the way you described the truck cutting you off, it sounds like the S2K may have saved your life in sacrifice. Bummer it won't be ready by 8/1.

The brakes were OK for the most part, but def fading towards the end of each 30 minute session. I think better pads might be the best investment I can make for my first mod.

The tires were also a problem sometimes. I ran them at 36 psi hot, 32 cold. I tried going to 38 hot, 34 cold later and found that helped some. Hope to see you there and hear good news on your car's recovery.
