Am I watching the same video as all of you? This guy can obviously drive, better than a mass majority of people posting in this thread. The only thing is he is bouncing off second gear. Maybe he didnt want to go faster than second gear, limiting himself to the speed top of second will go. Also, he didnt cross the lines, he was touching them, but not crossing them.

It appeared to me that this guy was only driving to keep up with the car in front of him. It also appeared that the guy in front of him was dangerously chaseing a motorcycle and the motorcycle had little choice except to pull over to the side of the road and let this idiot (first car) continue alone on the front end. The danger here was with the first car.

I don't see a problem with the way this guy was driving. How many of the people who think he's a bad driver have been to the Dragon? It's pretty much impossible to get anywhere appreciable in 3rd gear before you'd have to go right back into 2nd again. There are very few areas with a straight long enough to really use 3rd. If anything, it is likely more dangerous constantly shifting between 2 and 3 on that particular road--it would be much easier to lose the ass end during a shift considering there aren't too many opportunities to make a gear change outside of a turn.

Here's pretty much how the Dragon goes in regards to gas/brake:

Wide open to 50-60

Brake to 25-35 depending on sharpness of upcoming turn

Wide open to 50-60

Brake

Wide open

Brake

Wide open

Brake

etc.

theres a few time in that video he could have easily gone to third and downshifted back to second...i guess i have a different definition of what a good driver is then

Hand positioning was not good. He shuffle steers the whole thing, when he should have been keeping the 3 and 9.

As for shifting, he can bounce the limiter all day, it will eventually catch up...but I would not classify him as an top track driver.

I track and am mediocre, and have driven with track stars-this guy is not a track star.

Good driver??? Give me a break...

Choppy steering, poor shifting, double-yellow molestation, etc...

If this is the kind of driving people here look up to, I fear for this community.

There's no way he's better than me. I drift. Drifting is WAY better than this amateur stuff.
