Default Will I fit in an S2K?

Hi guys, new member here

I'm in the market for a nice fun car and I've always loved the S2K. I sold my 500whp Evo 8 about a year ago and I think it's now time to go hunting for a new weekend toy. There aren't many S2K's for sale where I live, the nearest one is a 3 hour drive to the next city so it's not as easy as just sit in one and find out if you fit. I'm 6"6, 260 pounds, not fat but I am big in the shoulder area. I used to compete at local men's physique shows and play basketball competitively, so I do have that bodybuilder/athletic build. When I had the evo, the stock seat upper bolsters would dig into my back, so it was extremely uncomfortable. Before I drive 3-hours to check on the S2K, would I even fit or would it just be a waste of time?

Thanks!

I don't think the S2000 is the right car for you unfortunately.

I'm gonna say not likely. You need to be thin athletic, not jacked athletic, to fit in this car.

I’m 6’2” 220 and lift weights, also used to do bodybuilding. I would not want to be any bigger in any dimension for this car. I installed BYS seat rails and still fantasize about being smaller while driving this car. I have fairly broad shoulders/ Lats and the seat bolsters could be wider. See if you can find a member in your area to sit in their car just to see but I’m kind of doubting you’ll be comfortable.

I'm 6'3, over 230, mostly muscle and broad shoulders. My issue is entirely in the length of my torso. I'd never be able to track the car because I'd fail the broomstick test without a helmet, let alone with one.

I do have a BYS seat rail but still kept the stock seat. It helped but not enough to make me think you'd fit easily.

After 2 hours in mine, I'm ready to stop. My other main vehicle is a Jeep, which is comparatively huge. I can drive that forever with no discomfort.

I can't imagine being 6' 6" in an s2000, I'm 6' 1", the car is completely stock and I'm very comfortable but about the top 1" of my head is above the top of the windshield, at 6' 6" it seems like the top of the windshield would be eye level. If you moved the seat forward enough to get your head lower your knees would hit the steering wheel. My knees barely fit below it.

I must have a shorter torso than some of you guys around my height. With the BYS rails I can turn my fist sideways and fit it between my head and the roof when up. Even with a bit to spare.

Nope. Not the best car for you.

At your height, the driving ergonomics will not be ideal on a stock car. The steering wheel will be down between your knees and there is no adjustment. The best way to solve the height issue is a side mount bucket seat like the Recaro Pole Position, but it is very tight in the shoulder area. Aftermarket seats with a wider shoulder area can rub the door panels or block the center storage compartment. If you get a chance, it doesn't hurt to try one out but I don't think you would be comfortable or enjoy the stock experience.

+1 for Recaro Pole Position and PCI slider seat rails V2.

Optional:
- ASM Steering hub and 350mm wheel, with or without quick release.
- Flat bottom OEM wheel.
