i see in this site people are saying that ap1 will get a decent increase on hp with VAFC, on the other hand I have an SAFC, will i be able to gain a decent increase on hp with my SAFC also?

I imagine VTEC crossover from the factory is already ideal and most the people making more peak hp are doing so by changing the air/fuel ratio which the SAFC can do.

Therefore theoretically you should be able to gain as much power from a SAFC as a VAFC. I made about 25 whp using a SAFC in my civic....of course that was tuning 450cc injectors with a turbo setup vs completely untuned.

 

it's my understanding that adjusting the vtec crossover isn't to gain a bunch of hp, but more or less to smooth out the transition/power curve.
