I bought my car as a theft recoevery and the Ignition that was replaced on it was from a 03 Honda settings and the doors of course are the 04 key settings. ANyways the car did not come with a remote and currently I am using two keys (1 to open the doors and trunk the other to start the car) Does anyone know if I need a specfic remote for the 04+ models or will a remote from other hondas 00-03 work.

 

I do not believe it will work.

Made by different manufacturers, Omron and I can't remember the other. Different frequency ranges if I remember correctly.
