Will S2000 still be in production for the 2002, 2003 model years?
Malachi's post to me came across as a bit arrogant and pompous, but that is how it appeared to me, regardless of what he meant. I didn't assume he actually meant this because I know meanings of words can get lost in the translation.
It doesn't matter to me, but if you care and don't want to annoy people try to be careful with what you write as it can be difficult to express yourself when online and lacking an excellent education in writing(seriously).. I am one of those...

I talked to the salesman of the Honda dealership where I bought my stook and he said that 2002 was a go. He didn't present any proof to me ( I suppose if he produced a signed letter from the president of Honda Japan it would have sufficed). But I see no reason why he would lie to me... as for his source, I have no idea. He said he's hoping they'll bring in the Monte Carlo Blue so he could trade in his 2000 silver/red.
Okay, here is the real scoop. My sister lives in Japan, and is married to the Senior design engineer who is the third son of Higarashi Sagawachi, the President and largest stockholder of Honda Japan. So I just got off the phone with Higgie. He tells me that July 31, 2001 will be the last S2000 built to sell to the public. After that, the body and engine molds will be destroyed. That will be right after a small run of 475,000 units to fill an order with Donald Trump who plans to give them away as Bingo prizes in his casinos.
So now you know. We can all stop guessing, and change the subject. Please.

Even at 475,000+ units, the s2k would be a limited run. So maybe our investments will pay off. We like the idea of being one of only a few on the road in the world and that is the reason we bought the car (really!, I wanted an older 911)). Happy drivin!

I think this kind of response is a little harsh, too. I've gotten this from people before after I have read and read and read posts, trying to find an answer to a question and, after hours (no sh*t), I just give up and ask. The last thing I want is some chump smacking me down because I asked a question that has been raised before. Example?
The other day, I wanted to write a post on some pinging noise that was coming from my car. I knew I had read someones post on this before and I knew which group. So I start searching. 'ping', 'Preignition', 'Octane','Detonation'. Nothing. I mean, I found posts, but not the one or two that I remember seeing. So I ask. Now, noone bitch smacked me on this one, but it is a question that has been raised before and I couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's fine to suggest that people look before they ask, but, I mean this is an email thing maybe? Besides, posting it to the thread is one reason that it seems agressive to me. I guess you could argue that everyone could stand to read this advice, but then again, the ones who need it are not reading this thread probably, right?
