Will the s2k engine be like the type R one day....
The thread below got me thinking about this a few days ago. Then I read more and more about different cars using the f20. I have even read about a CRX owner trying to do the swap....
Would suck if the s2k turned into a type R stealing fest. So you guys think thats this is a possibility or is it just to damn hard? My theory is that so many s2ks are getting wrecked that the engine is being sold for pretty cheap prices which allows other car owners to experiment and might start to cacth on.... moral of story! Don't wreck your s2k :) |

I doubt it. Theres alot of custom work swapping the F20C into other chassis where as the B18c5 drops right into basically any civic out there.

no kidding it would takea complete overhaul where most people wouldn't spend the time of day think about it theyd be cutting up the firewall and building transmission tunnel and a custom driveshaft um mount rear differential it would take alot of money and time when like said earlier u can drop a b18 in a civic in a weekend

Cheap? I think the f20c engines are hella expensive!! Cheapest I've heard is around $3500k for a used f20c and averaging around $4000. To me that's really expensive!!

I doubt it, just the fact it's made for RWD would be too much work for most people

K20 will be easier. Decent power, FWD, and readily available - RSX, TSX, Accord, Element, Civic Si etc...There's already mounting kits to put it in older Civics - which turn out really fast.

Not too many s2000 owners are stealing s2000 motors to swap into their s2000. Go figure.
And it would cost more to put in a stolen s2000 motor into a civic then just buy an engine for it. But your seats on the other hand... |
