Default Wind Buffeting?

I am thinking about dumping my 2001 chipped A4 (which I love) and getting an s2000, but am concerned about too much wind messing up the doo all the time. I am 6'2" - 185 lbs. Any feedback would be very appreciated!

YOu guys are so NOT helpful. I am trying to make a big decision, as most dealers don't let you test drive. Any REAL info would be appreciated. PLEASE!!

At your height, your hair will get messed up w/the top down. You can minimize it by getting a higher windscreen, but its a convertible, the wind is suppose to go thru your hair!!!

This car has less buffeting than any sportscar I have ever been in. As I recall, the wind deflector was designed to cut out 45% or something like that. I for one say it works and works damn well. I have lots of friends who have sportscars and almost to a person it is one of the first things they comment on, after closing their mouth from VETC'ing.

You're a little taller me (couple inches) but I'd say go for it. Frankly, I have no idea why some of the current owner's think the car buffet's a lot -- clearly most have never owned a top-down sportscar before IMO. Hope that helps. But, personally I would never buy any car without a test drive (if not a new one, find a friend on this site).

Getting the bigger windscreen, or even replacing it with the Mingster one will make a difference in how much wind comes into the cabin. You obviously can't get rid of all the wind buffeting, but can reduce it. I have the Mingster windscreen, but my hair still gets messed up a little. I mean, come on, it's a convertible!!!

Lose 5 pounds and shave you head; you'll be fine.
