Default Wind Deflector: Up or Down?

Yea, I know, it's a softball question/poll.

Thing is, I've noticed the wind deflector doesn't really deflect any wind; rather- it deflects wind to the back of your head! Driving to work and having to do a presentation with a "reverse" Don King 'do is no fun.

I've decided to keep it permanently down from now on. Wind flow is much better.

I also don't think it does anything, it just looks better to me up.

Up all the time when the top is down, so people can see the "S2000" engraved in my Rick's aeroscreen! Otherwise I tend to agree, I've tried putting it down and up while driving and even with the 7/8th's Rick Hesel screen, I feel little to no difference in turbulence.

Up, as it was designed to be! It works better with the top cover in place.

I keep it always in the 'up' position, because it is supposed to deflect wind. However, I will admit that numerous experiments alternating between up and down have not resulted in any discernible difference. Note that the highest speed I have ever attained with top down is about 70 mph.
