Default Wind irritates my eyes!

So I got my 05 S yesterday and MAN i love driving it. So I put the top down and went. Then on the highways my eyes started watering uncontrolably. It was windy but I'm not sure if it was crappy sunglasses, wind or the combo. i had to put the top up because i had 500 more miles to go and couldn't chance further injuring my eyes.

Any suggestions for fixing the wind and eye glasses that don't allow much wind in and have good uv protection?

P.S. I was going to make a thread about the trip but i need to become a member to get pics up. So maybe i'll sign up when i get back home.

Yeah, it's the wind. I have sunglasses that sit really close to my face, and that helps, but I still have the same problem, occasionally. If you can get some sunglasses that wrap around the countour of your face a bit, that might help, too. Or you could get racing goggles.

hehe, racing goggles. I want to look somewhat "cool". Anyone have recomendation for normal sunglasses that work well to avoid winds when your traveling at around 80mph on the highway? I will be ordering some of ricks wind screens soon.

This is true.

I'm a big investor in $20-30 sunglasses which only partially do the trick. Problem is, I scratch and break glasses often enough so It's just easier buying 2-4 pairs of these a year.

Good-fitting sunglasses truly are a safety item in the S (or most convertibles, I imagine) because of the sun and the wind.
