Default Windshield Molding Deforming, TSB?

I read in this thread, on service issues, that there are reports of the windshield molding being deformed and a TSB 00-064 being released.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...+Bulletin+00064

Does anyone have a copy of this TSB 00-064? I can't find it on this site.

Thanks in advance!

I saw that thread but haven't seen any posts of actual cases. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is.

Do you mean the molding around the windshield? If so, just straighten it out with a business card or a credit card and leave the car in the sun. The heat will tighten it right back up.

I have the same problem. The plastic/rubber there is pretty flimsy.

See it?

I'll try the creditcard fix.

Thanks for the replies.

MyBad - Very funny signature!

Reds2 - Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not sure I see how it could be straightened?? In my case there are two bulges in the rubber strip around the windshield. If I was to try to straighten it I don't know where the slack would go even taking into account the heat. Wouldn't it stretch in the heat not tighten up? Doesn't rubber get softer in the heat and expand?

I'll see if I can fix it this way but I am really confused.

This is ironic. I washed my car yesterday and had the same problem. Bt the time I dried it and it got heated up me the sun, it went back to normal.

I had the exact same problem. Looked it up on a thread here and bam! it's fixed. Some people took their car in and the dealer showed them how to fix it. Just try it and you will see. The slack will be taken up and she will look perfect again.

My dealer fixed mine by having a glass person glued the molding all the way around.
