I had the opportunity to open up the throttle Monday. After the first run above 125 mph the rubber seal around the windshield popped loose on the passenger side. The second run to 155 mph lifted the entire vertical section on the passenger side again. Anybody else have this happen?
Otherwise no ill effects. The car was pulling strong through 8K when I shut it down. Seems as though it could easily continue into the 160s.

Hot Damn... you guys must have big roads in Texas. I can't think of anywhere around here where I could attain those speeds without death being the end result.

Have your dealer check out your windscreen. It doesn't sound normal.

Not planning on any more speed testing. I know it is there and besides that's what airplanes are for. I found an empty stretch on my Florida trip and found the S2000 is not lacking in top end acceleration or stability. Very nice.

only been up to about 135 (this past weekend), sustained it for a while. I didn't notice anything uneasy except for the suspension. I believe a Mugen rear spoiler would give me sufficient downforce to increase my confidence in the suspension at speeds 125+, but the windshield? nopers, not really at all.

when you are traveling around 150, there is lots of wind resistance that your car has to deal with. on a dyno there is no resistance, so speeds of 170 are easily obtainable.

on another note, EG civics were famous for having the trim under the wheel well rip out at speeds over 120.

Svann, the noise is a defect. I had an '86 Accord that had a faulty windshield seal that you could only hear at 80 mph. The dealer fixed it and I never had another problem with it for 80,000 miles.
