I was thinking about this on my way back home last night...

Make sure you guys don't use the following chemicals (i'm sure there's more) in your windshield washer tank:

1. Ammonia
2. Bleach
3. Detergent
4. Alcohol
5. Vinegar

Cause it spray's our windshields, sure, but at the same time the rest of our cars, and, more importantly, the convertible tops (NOT good for them).

In addition, my personal experience dictates you may want to avoid the following:

6. Paint Thinner
7. Yogurt
8. Axle Grease
9. Mouth Wash
10. Beer
11. Drano
12. Chocolate Yoo-hoo
13. Pickle Juice
14. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
15. Bacon Grease
16. Turkey Drippings
17. Gravy
18. Apple Cider
19. Jams or Jellies
20. "Hot and Sour" Soup

Is there any particular brand of washer fluid out there that doesn't contain those elements?

Mikey! You're not serious about the hot and sour soup being bad for windshields, are you? I've been using my local Szechuan restaurant as a one-stop for both food and cleaning products for years! So far, my only problem has been the little tofu gobs getting stuck in the aerator jets for the wipers. I had no idea this stuff had caustic properties. That may explain the rectal bleeding, though...

I use WD40 in my washer tank.
It will rip those bugs right off.
But it is a little hard to see thru

I personally think there should be two tanks, one for shampoo and one for rinse. I could easily shave 10 minutes off my morning routine by showering in the car on the way to work.
