Default Winter Tires and storage

I have read (obviously, I can't remeber where) that some national chains will store your summer tires in the winter and winter tires in the summer if you get them at the store - for a nominal amount of $$$.

Has anyone done this ?

My wife is not too keen on storing the 4 tires in the basement and since I am merely a figurehead on our household, I am on the search.

Nothing like being king of the castle...

No, I haven't done this. Is your basement really small? If she doesn't like the way they look, you can get a nice cover for them. Not sure who sells those, but I have seen them around.

The S2000 is pretty short compared to most cars, so my summer wheels and tires are sitting stacked on one side of my side of the garage where the front corner of a larger car would be. Unless your garage is quite small, I'd have thought that would be a pretty universal option.
