woohoo, first s2000 post
Hey all, i thought i'd drop a quick not to introduce myself to the forum. I currently have a 2001 Audi 225 TT roadster which is being lemoned; so i thought i'd jump off the german ship and get a FUN roadster. In about a week all the buyback paperwork for the audi will be complete and i'll walk into the honda dealership and pick up the s2000.
I'm torn between 3 color choices right now, so i'd love to hear your opinions. Formula red, Spa yellow, or Berlina with the red interior. Any opinions on keeping all of those colors swirl free?
I'm in the CA bay area as well, anyone have any experience getting a good deal here? Best i've found so far is 1500 over invoice. any experiences would be great to hear. I'm also curious if anyone has pics of their cars with SSR comps on. I'm really leaning towards getting some ultra lightweight wheels. I'm so excited, hopefully i'll get to meet some of you soon. Feel free to ask any questions about the TT or S4 as well, i've owned both in the last two years.
Regards,
Dave

yeah, i like the silver as well. My S4 was silver actually. about a year ago, my fiancee had a VERY vivid dream that we were both killed in a silver sports car. Thus, she has reservations about me getting silver. Dumb reason, i know, but why risk it and make her uncomfortable everytime she rides in the car
Did he say lemoned?

yes, lemoned
Actually *officially* it's an "Audi customer satisfaction buyback"
Basically the car qualifies for the Lemon Law. However, Audi doesn't like having it's cars labled as lemons (this gets attached to the VIN and technically the car is supposed to be destroyed) Anyway, Audi offers it's customers the option of having them buy your car back for what you paid for it. then they take the car apart, totally fix it, then sell it as a used vehicle. Basically they don't lose *as much* money on the car that way. The TT was my 3rd Audi, so i felt i owed the company some loyality to not enact the Lemon law. To make a long story short, it's the same basic thing only the car doesn't get destroyed and can be resold with clean title after it's fixed
