Dudes, where's the love? If only someone can show me how to post a .jpg or .mpeg here, I'd be happy to show you what other parts of cars I've timed myself getting out of. I think the best was locking myself in a Mercedes CL600 at a Mercedes Benz demo and getting out utilizing it's electric trunk opener from inside the trunk... 12secs. ha ha ha... yeahhh too much time on my hands...

At 6'4" I got in a miata once with the top up and they needed the jaws of life to extract me.

I find it is easier to get in quickly and usually take my time getting out cuz it seems wherever I am going, I'd rather be in the S!

The fastest exit is just to fall on the ground.

Not to offend, but I think it's hilarious that one of our few moderators doesn't have a S2000 (not in a look down manner, just funny). I read your post, siper2 several times not really understanding it. Then I was in awe. You plan on getting an S2000?

This is what you do for the fastest time. I did this a couple of times with little to no injures to the head, face and chest areas. Open both doors (this included the driver and passenger doors, very important). Take a couple steps back, preferably 40-60 ft to ensure top speed. Then start running as fast as those feet can carry you. Once you get 5 feet from the car. Jump and stretch your body out fully. Try not to impale your chest with the stick or the wheel. It should take you about 1/2-1 second to fully get in and out of the car. And bam, you just shattered wantone's world record and most likely shattering his life as well. If you up for a challenge close the doors and lower the windows.
