Isn't it illegal for a cop to camp out hidden like that? They have to be visible within a certain length, with parking lights on, I think.

thats why i love my v1. if she starts going off on a familiar stretch of road, and im pretty damn sure its a cop, i'll start pulsing my brakes so that cars behind me will know that something is awry and hopefully theyll slow down too.

after passing the shark, i think it's just common etiquette to flash traffic coming the other way.

When I lived in Canada, turning your lights on and off was the sign there was a cop and I was warned all the time, but when I moved to San Diego 3 years ago, I have yet to been flashed once. I still flash others, but they also think I'm just screwing around, until they get pulled over....

in the "old days" if a cop saw you flashing your lights he would give you a ticket for faulty equipment. i haven't seen or heard of that happending in a while, though.
