Default Worn Out Floor Mat

I got my S2000 in 1999 and I drive it most every day. It has 135,000 miles and this what the driver's side floor-mat looks like.

Don't worry, I bought a spare set of original floor-mats long ago for only $43.20, for when I want the car to look its very best.

I guess you got good life out of that mat. I think all mats need a god heal pad to protect from wear, I have the Rick's mats and they have a nice sized heal pad on them, I can't see them ever wearing out.

Someone who is enjoying his car. Drive it, don't preserve it!

BTW, I've got a spare set of new OEM mats stashed for mine too.

I bought a pair on ebay for $49. I'm very happy with them for the money.

Not sure why they are now $349. I bet it's a typo by the seller.

49$ how long ago was that price? The cheaper I saw right now on eBay was 75$ plus shipping. (Canada)

Would like to have a extra pair too since I DD mine and sometimes there is those days you want the car as clean as possible.

I have a pair of Rick's floor mats too, which I installed when my car was new. Eleven years and over 300,000 miles later they still look good. And Rick's mats cover the hump in front of the seat so the carpet underneath isn't worn.

My original mats are still mint sitting on a shelf.

I think my floormat looks worse. I dont have a picture at the moment but I've worn a hole about the size of a golf ball through it, to go along with all the carpet wear.

There's more to the story. The Honda dealer that I bought the car from in 1999 would not sell me the single S2000 that they had unless I agreed to pay $140 to have the floor-mats "dealer installed". Several weeks later in 1999 I ordered a second pair from the parts department at another dealer for only $43.20. When I complained to the original dealer, I was told that if I hadn’t paid $140 to them, then they would have just sold the only S2000 that they had to someone else on the waiting list.
