I am currently looking at buying an s2000. It is a 2001, and after doing a bit of research, on here, I know that the 02/03 is a bit better for the main purpose of a glass rear windor. I was wondering others more expirienced opinion was. I am looking at purchasing the 1st ever pearl yellow s2000. As the person who owns the car, says that the pearl yellow was only available to Canadian dealers, well at least in 2001. The vin, as I checked it was.. 000001. It has the vin on all of the panels on the front, and the car was immaculatly kept with 29000kms, or around 19000 miles. Wondering peoples opinions on what I should do. The car is too expensive right now, but know they will drop the price. Because it was sold as a pearl yellow, it came with a hardtop, and a car cover.

 

It's hard to tell if its worth buying without a price.

 

I have never heard of "Pearl Yellow." Maybe one of the Canadian dealers on the board could run the VIN and get the paint color confirmed for you.

We had a little debate last Thursday at a meet where we looked at 3 AP1 S2000s, 2 of which were matching yellow, and the 3rd was not matching. We were told it was Indy Yellow, though I was not aware of the ever being an AP1 option in Canada or elsewhere. The lower valence on his rear bumper was also painted to match which kind of hints to me that it may have been a repaint on other panels of the car as well.

 

Sounds cool if it is legit. Yeah, you would need to let us know the $$$

 

they want 28000 cdn for it.. which is around the going rate, but the price will fall soon, with winter coming up, and the cdn dollar being so good. Pearl yellow was only available in Canada, as I found out... and the vin is nice too .... 000001
