Default Is it worth the trouble?

Hey, I have been wanting a hard top for a long time, I have a friend the does not want his anymore and might sell it. I think he my take $1000 for it, but there is a problem. My car is silverstone and his is red. So would it be worth the trouble and money to buy it from him and have it repainted or would it be easier to just wait and buy a silver stone hard top? THX

James

I say for a thousand dollars buy it and get it repainted for maybe another $300-$500 depending on the quality you want the top to be painted. That's a pretty good deal in my book. If worst comes to worst I'm pretty sure you could sell a NFR owner the top for more than a thousand dollars. All in all go for it you won't be disappointed.

If I were you, I'd probably wait and get the Silverstone matching HT. Only like a few months left in the winter, so I guess if you want you could wait till Spring and Summer pass, then purchase one late fall to winter. Just my opinion though..

Buy it and repaint your car to match the hardtop. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the quality of the paint job on your new hardtop.

Do it. I did much the same thing and matched a berlina HT to my GPW. Match came out excellent and the HT looks great.
