322k miles and the only thing i've done was oil changes, 1 valve cover gasket, solenoid gasket, and two valve adjustments at 144k miles mark and again at 290k.

I bought mine with 121k miles, currently at 145k. Love it to death.

Bought with 128k miles, MY2001. New tires, fixed oil leaks from valve cover, and VTEC assembly. New clutch, found out it was the CMC that needed replacing. Then did the slave.

currently 132k miles. I’m the third owner and this car was sold at the Honda dealer here in town.

I’ve taken her on 6hr road trip to Road Atlanta in the scorching June heat and ran 4 x 30 min sessions. Then Daytona in July and ran the high wall at 144mph.

looking forward to seeing 200k miles

Don't mind buying high mileage car. As long the price is reflected accordingly. Most people fail to understand that.

Bought a MY08 in 2017 with 100k miles. I'm now at 212k miles and not scared to drive it. 10/10 would do again. I've only been stranded twice - once by a blown coolant hose and another time due to the brittle clutch grommet breaking. Two easy fixes. All other maintenance done on the car was preventative with OEM or better parts. I think the key is to make sure the previous owner didn't use crap parts and you don't either. Parts are not cheap for these cars and it tends to push people towards crappy alternatives that may not last as long.

Idk...parts are pretty inexpensive for S2000's. They're not any more expensive than parts for like...an Accord or any other Honda.

But I agree with you that reasonable maintenance is key.

Amen to the cheap parts. All the things wrong with my car when I got it were non stock parts related.

They didn't mod it, just used replacement parts that weren't oem. Penny pinching. Didn't last, made the car worse.

That and shoddy work installing those parts. More penny pinching.

Fortunately, nothing that couldn't be corrected.

In this world, you get what you pay — 99% of the time. If it's cheap, there must be a reason.

Haha maybe it's just me who's cheap and I hate seeing money leave my pocket
