Our tachometers changed color from amber to yellow when V-TEC kicks in.

i know that you can change the color, but what we a re talking about is, if the color changed only when vtec is engaged.

That's the same concept. Change the color on the 'backing' exactly where vtec engages.

But I'm thinking it would be cooler if it faded into the color gradually.

I'd prefer a programming change that would cause the ENTIRE tach to flash when redline is hit, instead of that little red square.
