I surf the web and find this Mugen S2200 with pictures. Is this real? Anyone saw it in Road & Track before?

Yup I saw it in a magazine, might've been R&T, I forget.

 

Too bad the peak torque is only increased from 153lb-ft to 162lb-ft. I wonder what the peak horsepower is.

Yeah, it's real. First saw it when me and another s2ki member went to Tokyo Auto Salon back in January 2000. Not sure when it was created but it was at least around since 1999.

you can find an article in C&D august addition. Nice looking car but not worth the $56.000 total cost (just my opinion).

 

I think this Mugen S2200 is different from the Mugen S2000 in C&D. It is a single seater without the windshield. Its displacement is 2.2L not 2.0L. It is probably just a show car not for sale at all. Check out the link and see if you still think they are the same thing.

 

umvue, yes your correct it's not the same car in the C&D article.

 

Its nice lookin but at a 54+ thousand dollar price tag I would spend MY money on the Comptech SC
