1000kms changed to Valvoline Conventional 10W30
3000kms changed with Valvoline Conventional 10W30
6000kms changed with Valvoline Conventional 10W30
9000kms changed to Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W30


After the 3000km oil change no oil consumption whatsoever.

2000 KM Castrol GTX
4000 KM Red Line Oil 10w30 for summer
5w30 for winter, because I am in Toronto!

Mobile One 10w30. Hardly burns any oil at 38K miles.

To the people that are using a 30wt. oil: How much oil consumption do you go through every 1000 miles? (Please, do not go by date).

Why dosnt anyone use an oil that starts with an 0w ????

I'm using Quaker State (please no flames) because the dealership I bought my car from offered a 250,000 mile engine warranty from Quaker State if I agreed to always use Quaker. If I have any oil-related engine problems for the first 250,000 they will cover it. Reassures me as we have an engine that has shown a few oiling problems. I also have the extended warranty, peace of mind
