WTB SCAMMER tried to pm me and get me to send him 2k. Thanks to the mods I didn't, and spent a week trolling him. Enjoy.... this guy didn't know ANYTHING about cars/ engines or s2k. The last email is my favorite!
He tried to get me as well. I had him going for two weeks before I got tired of his mis-spelled name. I was (am still) looking for some TR Motorsports F3 wheels made by Enkei which are pretty rare and the guy sent me pics of wheels that was pulled off this very site. Pics that I already had and actually put into my WTB ad! (BTW, that doesn't even look like a S2000 engine in your picture, it may just be a Ferrari engine). Even without the mods intervention it was pretty easy to see he was a scammer. The no-post noob PMing me had me suspicious already and the pictures and answers he gave just made it super obvious.
"Oh, I don't have anymore pics since they're boxed up already."
"Oh I don't have a Paypal address and can only take Venmo or Cashapp (neither one provides any protection whatsoever) because blah, blah, blah."
"Oh, I'm so busy with deliveries and they cannot be picked up."
And he can't even spell his own name correctly.
I have his Venmo ID (@jeanne1963) if your friends want it although I don't know if it does any good. I doubt he's in the US.
Rorbert sounds pretty legit here... just trying to hook you up with a motor from a Ferrari model... Ferrari? I assume that means LaFerrari?? And you passed that up for only 2K?? I'm going to find this Rorbert guy right now.
But in all seriousness, thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention! These guys are the worst of the worst.... Too many people assume that others are decent people and fall into these traps. Hopefully with your help a few less folks will now!
