X Brace Recommendations?
Has anyone done a comparison of the X Braces available? If so, can you advise or recommend your choice of an x brace based on:
Performance (or do they all pretty much do the same thing equally effective)
Weight
Cost
Thanks,
Gary

The Spoon one is pretty good if you want JDM stuff or the Cusco one as well. But the States has some good manufacturers as well, I'm sure they can fill you in on that. Ask Mark DiGrippa especially, he's a good man.
There are lots available and tons of threads on x braces, Mark DiGrappa's is awesome! I've had it on for a week or so and I love it.
Excellent quality etc, it is pricier, but certainly worth it. There are about 4 others, Mingsters, spoon, comptech and ones mentioned above, they all do about the same thing
I have heard that some of the steel ones tend to rust out kind of quickly, that may have been one specific brace....

Weight: DiGrappa's (billet aluminum) is the lightest, followed by Spoon (steel tubing), then Mingster's (thicker steel tubing).
Beefiness: Not sure, but either Mingster's or DiGrappa's is the "strongest" (i.e., less flex), followed by Spoon.
Cost: Mingster's is the cheapest, followed by Spoon, then by DiGrappa's.
I have Mingster's and I'm happy with it all the way

Although I'm partial to the Spoon, here's a write-up I did when I installed mine.

Yes it will move you out of stock autocross.
Bet you can't guess which one I like

BTW now is a good time to get any one of these as all three (mine, spoon, mingster) are all on GB in the Group Buy section.
Also do a search, you will see a huge discussion that took place last week.
Thanks
Mark

Go with Mingster's brace. It's the cheapest, it allows oil to drain without mess, and it does the job well. Besides, who will ever notice this part on your car unless you join the Car Acrobatic Team on Speed Racer?
