i happen to have a 500 bucks and was looking for simple mods for my s2k to handle just a little better. just wanted to see what opions people have of those three choice. ( brands, and how it felt after , worth the money ? ) i have stock rims / tires. and dont run tracks, just want some simple every day handling when i want to rip around turns.

i've got an MiG racing CF STB and a Speed/Spoon X-Brace and have noticed a definite difference in rigidity. i used to have a squeak in my top on the drivers side but that has gone away since adding these two pieces. . .

I have a STB, x-brace and Cusco 3-piece bars, as well as a Saner sway bar.

IMO - the STB made the car twitchier - much harder to drive on the highway. X-brace & Cusco 3-piece bars (I installed them at the same time) made the car feel much more as one piece - much more solid. Highly recommend the X-brace at least.

Sway bar - don't install unless you are going to track the car or auto-X.

For $500. you can do more than just one of those choices. Prices approximate:

1- Spoon x-brace via group buy- $170.
2- STB- any high quality one- $200. +/-
3- Voodoo knob- $40.- $120.
4- Performance brake pads that don't dust so much (ie, Hawk) ??$

All affect how it drives- the STB least of all but I feel it works better paired with the x-brace for a cage effect. There is a noticable difference.

I wouldn't bother with sways.

I heard someone say that if you question the effectiveness of a STB you should string a piece of twine between the shock towers and go for a spirited drive......afterwards the string will be broken. I never waited to find out & bought one anyways.
