performance X-brace (STB doesn't do too much). Looks, for engine bay atleast, STB.

I don't have the X-brace so I don't know how much it improves, but I have the STB, it does help, but not so extreme to notice a HUGE improvement on handling and stiffness.

X-brace of course! Buy the STB later.

The only thing you'll feel is $90 further away from an X-brace.

STBs do make a difference, but only under very severe cornering.

I think this is true on strut equipped cars (where the damper is used to locate the hub.) On our cars the hubs are located by two wishbones (not the shocks) and the forces on the strut tower are mainly up and down (vertical) , not towards the center (horizontal.)

In the S2000:

1) An x-brace will make a very noticeable improvement in structural rigidity and ride. Worth the money.

2) A strut tower bar doesn't really make much of a noticeable difference (but maybe phychologically). However, it can't hurt.

I have both -- got the STB first and didn't notice anything. Got the x-brace and WOW!
