Default Yay for S2k!

I just had to share this with you! Yesterday afternoon, I was heading home from work after picking up my GF at her job. We turned on to a road on which a private high school is located. (St. Johns for anyone who lives in the DC area.) It was an absolutely perfect day and, of course, we had the top down. On the sidewalk, on our right, was the high school's cross country team - must have been thirty kids, boys and girls. When we got near them, they spotted us and, as a group, they started waving their arms over their heads and let out with a simultaneous, loud "YAY"! We, of course, waved back. That was all we could do because we were stunned. It was incredible. My GF and I had the biggest smiles on our faces for at least ten minutes! What a car! I have never seen anyone react to a car like that in my entire 54 years on this planet!

The attention this car draws is amazing. I once saw a mechanic walk into a lifted car in the shop without ducking because his eyes were glued to my car.

I would like to think that, DarioManfretti! She certainly is admireworthy! Wow, what a smile on my face -- you should only see it! But, I tend to think it was the car because there was a fairly large contingent of females on the team, and unless they were all same-sex oriented, which would be unlikely, I would agree with you. I certainly could buy your theory respecting the male team members

Maybe they just got done with a history class talking about the accomplishments of the year 2000. In my history class in high school, we used to have parties about years, and some of those exercises were to wave your arms back and forth and yell, "Yay for 1989!". Sorry to get your morale up

I'm bored and procrastinating work.

I know what you mean. I always get that but the thing about it is, they don't know what kind of car it is!!!!!!!!

I guess that's kind of cool.

Hey Marc, do you mean St. John's off of Military Road near Rock Creek Park? I took that road too yesterday -- and nobody cheered me...of course it was 7 pm and the place was empty, but still!

Glad to hear you're having fun with the car. I know I am!
