Year 2 - Complete
Today marks the end of year number 2 for my S2000.
My insurance coverage lapses (except comprehensive) today, so my S2000 will be in the garage until Spring. She isn't completely put away yet. I will need to get her on stands and pull the wheels before she is really ready for winter.
I did, however, get in a final spin yesterday in our unseasonably warm weather. It's still fun to watch people's heads swivel around to get a better look! Not quite like 2 years ago, but the attraction is still there.
My car's actual delivery date was 12/1/99 and I can report no mechanical problems with the car at all. No grinds (not one), no overbearing tranny noise (alittle loud with the top up), no differential problems, the top doesn't rattle and #4 cylinder is still working. The only issue I have with the car is the peeling paint on the front bumper near the headlights and I may have this repainted under warranty before this year is up.
The car has been on Road America several times, Blackhawk Farms, its been to Asheville for S2KDays, its been on a lot of great Wisconsin roads, spent some time at King Motorsports getting some goodies (with more to come I'm sure!) and alot of other adventures that could get me in trouble if I were to talk about them in public.
The car has also brought me together with a whole new "world" of friends and great car enthusiasts and that is the main point of the car IMHO.
2002 will be another great year I predict, but until then I can reflect on all the wonderful things I did this past year and look to 2002 with great anticipation.

Awwww, I need a tissue...!! <sniffle sniffle>

What you said is true for me though. Well, everything except the part about the lack of mechanical failure!
My 2 year anniversary comes up on the 7th, I think.
Let's see...18 sets of brake pads, 5 sets of tires, about 4500 miles on race tracks, countless thousands on twisties and a new engine later, I'm still in love with the car as much, or even more, than I was when I drove it off the lot. I drove it up to Wisconsin for a party at Keith's house this weekend...crazy how warm it has been!
But the coolest part of owning my little banshee has been the other whackjobs that I have met along the way.
Thanks Honda!
