Yes, Ziano's A Great Wax!
Well, technically, it's not a wax at all. Anyway, I put on the first coat on my Silver/Black S today. I was surprised how easy it is to use. I was a skeptic when I heard about "two steps." I was thinking it may be twice as hard to apply. But, it goes on and comes off with little effort - even on a 90 deg SoCal day! I did it in the sun. I let it dry as per the directions.
I used dish soap to remove my two coats of carnuba. That stuff sure comes off easily! I did the trunk deck first, without touching the rest of the car. The Ziano looked better with a single coat. I will put on additional coats later this week.
Once again, information on this forum has proved valuable. People talk about Ziano. I'm now a believer.

Hi everyone. This is my first post, and interestingly, it has to do with detailing.
Some quick background info: have yet to purchase my s2k, but it's coming around soon. Currently drive a Civic Si. Am a moderator for ClubSi in the detailing section and am one of the first and seasoned members of the Autopia CarCare forum, the best (IMO) detailing forum on the net.
I myself also use Zaino, but only on my wife's silver accord. I'm familiar enough with Sal Zaino's products, and in fact, I tested his products for him in the past. His products are certainly top notch, especially on light colored cars, which have less reflectivity than darker colroed cars. The zaino is very reflective, making silvers, whites look very nice.
For darker colored cars, I have always used a carnuaba wax on top of a synthetic base coat. For this, I use Pinnacle Souveran or Blitz Wax for carnuaba on top of Klasse Sealant Glaze. This combo yields a rich, luxurious, deep shine that Zaino has trouble achieving on dark colored cars.
Anyways, I've said too much for my first post. So I'll just lurk again for awhile until my s2k arrives! BTW, this easily is the best forum I've participated in so far.

Always use the claybar Z18 after a Dawn wash and before Z1. If not you will seal contaminates against the paint clearcoat. Not sure what dish soap is, but Ziano recommends Dawn. I would not use any kind of bar soap because it contains deodorants and oils.

Unless you're going to show the car like Ozy, why go through the entire process and actually spend major bucks on it when it's only going to get dirty again? I'm all for keeping the car clean, but to tell the difference between one wax brand and another is pretty... damn anal.
Damn.
Damn.
