Smile Yet Another soft top issue

Please chim in on what you guys think and tell me if I should add or change anything. Pictures will come tomorrow

Dear American Honda

I'm very upset that I have to be writing this letter. I never thought that I would have so much trouble in finding an answer or getting something fixed through my dealership or even getting help through American Honda. I bought a used 2002 S2000 with 43,XXX miles back in Nov 2006 after I returned back to the United Sates after a year long tour in Iraq. To this date it has been the best car I have ever owned. There is only one slight problem. There are holes forming in the soft top not just in one spot but 3 different spots. Two of the spots are in the same location but just on either side of the top, on one side the top has ripped and on the other side there is a wear mark on the inside of the top where the frame is rubbing up against it causing a rip/tear in the top. (PICTURE 1) There is another spot where the latch on the passenger side has punched through the top, this is because the elastic straps (PICTURE 2) that pull a frame support bar back when the top is being folded down, fails to be pulled back. This causes the frame to not fold right, and lets the latch to push into the top fabric which caused a rip/tear. (PICTURE 3)

I called awhile back to American Honda,This was in regards to the the first hole that surfaced on the passenger side. They told me to go to the dealership as soon as I could. I was not able to go as for my training schedule with the Army has kept me busy and I was not able to have the dealership look at my car. I got a call back saying that Honda does not want to help me with this issue. The lady that I spoke to was very rude and wouldn't give me any reason as to why American Honda wouldn't help me. After the last two holes that formed, I then went to the dealership to have them look at this issue but they blew me off as if they didn't want anything to do with me. But after talking to the District Manager about the issue,he told me that he was going to do everything that he could to get me and answer. Yet after 2 week I didn't get a phone call or anything from the dealership or American Honda. This makes me VERY upset that I would be treated like this. I drove back to the dealership and talked to theDM and he told me this. "Oh, I thought American Honda called you and told you that they didn't want to fix the issue." This made me even more upset.

I take care of my car and garage it every day and night when I'm not driving it. I love my S2000, its has been the best car I have ever owned. I have owned many Honda in my life and they have have always been 1st in my Book. I have had NO trouble what so ever with service or support. I want to continue to purchasing them, but not if I'm going to be treated like this as a consumer.
Here is the list of Honda's that I have owned in the past 5 years.

2002 S2000
2006 Civic EX Coupe (Traded for the S2000)
2001 Civic LX Sedan (Wife's Current Car)
2000 Civic LX Sedan (Gift from mother, then sold to sister)
1992 Civic DX Sedan (First Honda, Sold to friend)

All I want is to get some answer and to have my issue fixed. The S2000 is the Honda's Flagship car and I don't see why there should be problems at all with this car. I love this car a lot, but I don't want to walk away from the Honda name if this is going to continue. I have worked very hard over the last year in Supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and I bought this car KNOWING that it would never let me down. Please American Honda, help me get this issue fixed.
