soft top ripping HELP
Hey guys my soft top is ripping and I barely replaced it in April 29, 2009. I just went to Honda and they want me to have a 2 hour meeting with American Honda tomorrow. My middle side of the driver side has already made a little tiny hole but then a I noticed that in the passenger it is just starting to make a little hole as well. These two holes are identical from each other, same location but opposite end. I was just wondering if you guys have had any problems concerning the soft top because I am trying to gather information from other people who have had such problems with their soft top so I can print it and show it at the meeting. So I could tell them that the soft top is a problem with all s2ks. Please send me responses guys thanks I really appreciate it.
its common among all s2k's and i fixed it by sanding down the metal part that rubs the soft top when its folds in and also cylicone some velcro on the part that it rubs on to prevent it and it worked fine till thiefs cut my top anyways
I had my roof replaced under warranty last week.. Can you imagine that the dealer had no idea about the service bulletin , WTH?
So it was done and the roof latches were both replaced...
I'm not worried even if it happens again even if warranty is over ... why ???
because Honda will replace the roof again if it happens.. Honda is a stand up company and no doubt will stand by there customers....

Anyway, do a quick search there are plenty of threads with soft-top repair information. I noticed a small tear starting on the passenger side and bought some speaker carpet from Best Buy and Velcro'd it over the metal pieces that were rubbing.
Good luck.
