I came across a website called X-Pel (see link below) that sells custom pre-cut sheets of clear plastic material made by 3M that is applied to the front end of a car and supposedly protects it from damage done by flying debris on the highway. They refer to it as a "clear bra".

Have any of you had experience with this product or one similar to it?

Another kind of clear plastic material people have tried is Saran Wrap. It's not just for sandwiches.

The biggest trouble with these types of products is finding a competent installation site. StonGard trains its installers so the finished product looks great.

When properly instlalled, StonGard in nearly invisible.

For more pictures check out http://albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u...4281&p=38563972

If you go View My Albums, you can see other cars with StonGard as well. Check out the install sites on my website or visit http://www.stongard.com and check to see if they have someone near you.

O.K. I'm sold. And thanks for enlightening me.

Does anybody know of a Stongard installation facility in Nashville?

For The $180 for the hood kit and $280 for the bumper kit, totaling $460 ( not including installation ), I'll just wait and take a chance on repainting the front, if need be ! Plus this just protects from small flying objects, when a muffler on the road hits the front of your car, you have the car to fix , AND THE CLEAR PROTECTANT. Seems like a lot to protect from an occassional rock, the stupid rock will still probably hit you windshield though??!!

I hope rocks just wait and look for a $75,000 Mercedes , BMW or Jaguar !!!, after all this is just a little Honda !
