I am new to these cars, but mine is pretty loud. the motor at idle is very distuingishable. do you think i need to break it in right? the car has 5xxx miles on it.

 

nothing wrong with loud exhaust especially stock.
mine is 03 and my friend has 02. he said that mine sounds little bit louder than his.

If you bought it used, are you sure it has the stock exhaust?

heres another ?, do your shifters shake alot? mine seems to move alot. not in and out of gear, but just at idle or in gear it vibrates. why is that?

 

mine only shakes when the engine is about to die because of a lack of gas. I don't think it should do that at idle though.

 

My knob shakes when i'm in gear just driving along. It's a little more than my ITR and Prelude, but I don't mind it. As for the stock noise, my car is quiet, but then again my ITR and Prelude both had exhaust, so I can't compare.

 

I really don't think the stock exhaust is that loud.

Have you owned a car with a modified exhaust before?

 

I love how my exhaust does a little burble when I lift the throttle. People are surprised how deep the exhaust sounds for a 4cyl. But I wouldn't say it's loud...I can't even hear the exhaust when accelerating.
