Is Your Supercharged Stook REALLY Faster Than Stock?
Today I had the opportunity to meet a rare fellow Stook owner in Albany. He was planning on buying the SC and wanted to know if the $5000 was really worth it. To compare cars, we pulled up side by side in a pre-decided gear and while rolling (to take all clutch-work out of the equation) we both floored our accelerators. His N/A car kept up nose to nose with my SCed car (with dyno confirmed 277 rear wheel horsepower). Why was my car not much faster? We tried this in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears... we were even. So far to him I did not prove the worthiness of my supercharger...
On the bright side: he is an assistant district attorney in Albany (no more tickets for dumb reasons by bored cops!!!)
PLUS I told him he had to join this club!

You floored it in let's say 2nd gear, and stopped when, in what gear? The car isn't just going to jolt forward like a cheetah. It will start to pull slowly, then it just gets more and more prominant until you're just not reachable.
In case you've missed previous posts we have confirmed that the SC S2000 can spank stock S2000s in many street tests.

Wesmaster
shaner,
The supercharger definately makes a big difference.
On this one occation, Wesmaster, lips2000 and I were at a stoplight. Wesmaster on left lane, lips2000 in middle and I'm on the right lane.
Wesmaster: Comptech Supercharged, 225/50/16 Pole postions
lips2000: Stock, with stock tires.
Phantom: Stock, 245/35/18 Toyo Proxes T1-S.
We are all capable drivers...this test was more than valid.
When the light turned green, and all of us dropped the clutch...lips2000 pulled around a car length advantage because of his stock tires being stickier than Wesmaster or my tires. Wesmaster may have alot of power, but without good tires...a stock s2000 will have the jump on him. In my case...it is confirmed that a stock s2000 will beat me by exactly a car length if I use my 245/35/18 Toyos (I loose a car lenth during the launch).
So, through 1st gear I was 3/4 car length behind lips2000. I wasn't paying much attention to Wesmaster because I was focusing on the road. When we hit mid second gear I see Wesmaster start to pull in front of lips2000...disappearing from my sight because lips2000 is directly diagnal between Wesmaster and I. When we hit 3rd gear, Wesmaster comes back to sight and at the end of 3rd gear...he is now a couple car lenghts ahead of lips2000, which means he is 3-4 car lenths ahead of me...as we shift to 4th...wesmaster is clearly at least 4 car lenths ahead of us. I was like holy crap! If the Shell station we were suppost to rendezvous at had the Comptech Supercharger...I probably would have robbed it that night.
So...something truely did not go down correctly during your test with your friend because I have cruized with Wesmaster on numerous occations, and his car walks away from our stock s2000's.
