Default ****D2 Coilovers Installed! BUT..........

Installed the D2 coilvers to my car yesterday...
Installation was very straight forward, and the back ones took no more than 15 min each side! I will post up pics tonight..
Had the car sitting pretty low on stock rims, but enough to still just clear drive ways and speed humps.
Took the car for a drive... nice... then i got up to 55-70ish Kmh then there is this HUGE ass end vibration that you could feel all the way through the car..
It worse when i put the power down (accelerate hard) around the 5-6rpm mark, then when i am at high speeds and lower rpm its not there!

My mate thinks there is too much camber in the rear wheels.. ( worked out roughly 1.8neg) so i raised the car almost back up to stock height.. The feeling was still there but not as bad..

I'm worried! I think it could be the CVs, As I'm also hearing a very small and sharp clank sound when i take off slowly or turn slowly..

Any help please??

Your alignment is wacked out... don't drive it hard until you get it checked out.

Is that all it is you think?
Nothing more serious than that?

so it has to be aligned for that height?

Depending on how you installed the coilovers and if you disconnected the control arms the alignment will have very negative effects on your handling at speeds.

Excessive toe can cause serious problems... look at your tire tread also and see if you have crossed hatched wear...

Get it aligned.

Im almost positive its not an alignment issue, im running over -2 camber on the rears - it sounds like your CV joints.

Check out this thread - very similar

Thanks S2000GT for getting him in the right direction...

I only mentioned alignment as he did not...

well...this is also true - he will have adversely affected his camber and/or toe and will still need to get the car aligned - just I dont think this is what is causing his issues.

Since you've lowered your car, the inner CV joint's tripod is now riding farther out from the inner CV joint housing. It's entirely possible the housings are pitted and now causing the vibration.

i dont think it has to do with camber, my rear camber is out like neg 2 or 3 i cant remember, u can see it just by looking, get a full alignment, if that doesnt work it might be the cvs
