Nice write up!

Replacing my top was the first thing I did on my car. Took me a week to figure it out, could've saved a lot of time with this DIY.

Very nice DIY, this is definitely the most detailed DIY on soft top replacement on any s2000 forum.
Thank you for the hard work! New top looks great btw!

Very nice... I need to replace mine, but have been wondering how much work was involved.

Very nice write up. I'm just 'starting' mine, about 5% in with the interior off. The top looks a little menacing, don't really understand the whole movement thing Then again I haven't really been around my car all that much. Good job!

You mention other DIY's, ive been searching and reading as much as i can before tackling this and wanted to know if you would link to the others, incase i missed one.

Thx for the tip on not cutting the straps at the back, the problem is that i knw at least 1 of mine has snapped and been re stiched by ????? before i got the car. Do you have any advice on it before i start the procedure?

my list contains extra rivets, screws, padding, tape and apparently velcro, for this billman fx i need to read about still. Might do the modifry traps also after more research.

My advice is to buy a replacement strap.

Very thorough job. The only thing I had to take out when I did my top was the drivers seat so that I could stand up inside the car

You are quite welcome. Doing the documentation didn't add much, so I just did it. Glad it has inspired more people to do their own tops as it really isn't very hard.

I bet the top-changing industry is quite unhappy with me though

When working with the two bows that hold the top....don't pry them open. Slice the top with a razor, and slide them out the side.

Cut...no pry

best top diy I've seen.
Is there a way to take the top off without cutting it, say if you wanted to reuse it?
