00-05 vs 06-09 ABS Sensor Compatibility
Hi,
I was changing my wheel bearing and made the mistake of not unhooking my ABS line before popping the rear upper ball joint. Unfortunately, it completely tore the wire off the ABS sensor once it separated.
Looking at the parts catalog, the part numbers between 00-05 and 06+ are nearly the same:
57475-S2A-003 - 00-05
57475-S2A-013 - 06+
Most of the used sensors that I can find are either from an 00-05, or are (incorrectly?) listed as 00-09... I don't want to buy them and find out that the parts are incompatible. The dealer was unable to give me any clues on the compatibility either.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using a 00-05 ABS sensor on an 06+ or had a driver-side rear sensor that they wouldn't mind me returning if it didn't work out?

If Honda changed a part number there is definitely a reason for it, they don't even change part numbers when they steal parts from other cars (some of our eccentric camber adjusting bolts have NSX part numbers). With that said the part number change could be as simple as a material change on on of the rubber bushings that is used to mount the wire to the CA. Honestly it's a toss up and I wouldn't be shocked either way. Do you know if the ABS module on the cars with VSC is still made by nissin?
Thank you. I think you can just cut off the 00-05 connector and solder it into the 06-09 one ?
