Need to replace all 4 coils. 165k miles and finding set of 4 OEM coil packs elusive. Any recommendations?

^ 100% the only difference with OEM is the price and the box. Get Densos that are made in Japan and call it a day. I always used Ap2 coils on my Ap1, there was some suggestion that they were a bit better than ap1's back in the day, no idea if it was true or not but I used them.

Try to find other retailers that carry that Denso part number

I would be leary of Amazon or eBay, as there are a ton of fakes. Buy from an authorized dealer.

Denso has been the only brand we've been discussing here

The recommendation made above was to buy AP2 Denso coils from Rockauto instead of the AP1 version.
