04' Diff retrofit?

Default 04' Diff retrofit?

i heard that the new differential on the 2004 s2k will be stronger than the current ones. would it be possible to put it on my00-03's?

I don't see why not, unless the yokes and/or splines are different.

in this case, wouldn't it be better if you just go get an aftermarket LSD like KAAZ or Cusco...

From everything I've seen, the '04 has the same 4.10 ratio. The transmission gears however, are different.

Kazz + 4.44= Better and savings for my00-03. The tranny on the 04 is different (carbon)

Aftermarket LSD's like kaaz or cusco, are they only stonger or do they provide anykind of improvement on putting power to the asphalt over the stock diff.

the lsd is not the weak part of the assembly but the casing. Supposedly the '04s have a stronger case that doesn't allow flex when shock is induced to the system. By getting a new LSD, you are not making the diff assembly stronger or less suspectible to ring gear or pinon gear teeth sheer. The '04 tranny has different gear ratio's and a different secondary drive. The tranny is not carbon, only the synchros have been updated using cabon (ambigously described in the brochure).
