Default 05 Speedo in a 01 Help

Well I got the 05 speedometer today I have an 01. I took mine out to find 4 plugs going into it and the 05 has 2 big ones. I have everything I need except the 05 has like 5 extra wires. Any schematics out there for 01 and 05 guage clusters or has this been done. I searched on here, nothing. Searched on yahoo and google..nothing. Any help is appreciated.

why would you put an 05 speedo into your 01?? it's a completely different cluster. plus you have a 9k redline vs 8k on the new one, etc.

Sorry but I'm looking for answers to my questions not questions to my questions. Unbelievable...It's like I said I want to do a Civic taillight conversion on my car.

I questioned because of the fact that it hasn't been done to my knowledge, and I questioned whether it's something even possible.

And again, you have a 9k redline, so why would you put in a gauge that only has an 8k redline?

No need to get your panties in a bunch. Did you seriously think you could ask such a question and NOT have people wonder why or how? If you did, than that is truly what's "unbelieveable".

However, if he has a JDM MY05 speedo, it will have a 9K redline.
