Road racing school/advanced drivers ed.

The difference a good drivers' course will give you will far outweigh any potential gains you're going to get from modding your car.

for 1000:

x-brace = 200 (helps with handling)
cai = 220
vafc w/harness = 420
tuning vafc = 200

total about 1000 will net u anywhere from 8-20 rwhp (depends on who you talk to)

What does "Performance" mean to you? There isn't much bang for the buck trying to increase engine performance. It will take more than $1K to be able to actually feel a power increase. Same goes for the X-brace.

You can improve handling significantly for $1K. Adjustable Konis and some KG/MM springs will definitely be noticeable.

An '00-'01 might be able to get that kind of benefit from those mods, but I didn't get anything like that on my '02. I think I might have an extra 8 HP from all my mods.
I know you said you got one hp from vafc tuning, but arent there parts of your hp curve where the gains were 5+?
